She can see the frame rattle as he tries to force it open and she hears the ripping of paper as he punctures it, sees his hand, and then it's gone as he's pulled away. She can hear him fighting the servants who are restraining them and she can hear him call out to her.

Nagumo! [He doesn't deserve the honor of using his full name; she spits the surname out like it's a curse.] You won't get away with this. When Yase hears of this, they'll have me and that child out of here quickly, and you and your clan will be punished for your cruelty!

She can't see outside because she is in a small, windowless room, but she can hear the chirping of cicadas and there is a slight evening chill that permeates the walls. Feeling groggy and a little sore, the first thing she does is take stock of her surroundings.]
